The Brief

The IRWA (International Right of Way Association) has served professionals who acquire, manage and transfer the land rights needed for building and maintaining energy and transportation infrastructure. Chapter 67 serves IRWA members in Orange County, CA.  The executive board likes to keep the site fresh with current design layouts and tools to keep their members coming back to the site for the latest news and events.  Having worked with Chapter 67 for over 15 years developing and maintaining their website and newsletter, I was fortunate they reached out to me again to redesign their website.

The Result

The primary focus of the website is to promote local events and education courses to its members.  The challenge was to build out the rest of the site with minimal content that rarely changes in a visually engaging way.  Photos of Orange County often containing infrastructure elements are used on the site to represent the region and the areas of interest for the IRWA.  An events management website plugin was used  to inform members about networking and education opportunities.  A website “blog” format was used to display the latest news about the chapter and its members.  In addition to a website, Chapter 67 uses a digital newsletter to reach out to its members which they send out bi-monthly using the email marketing tool “MailChimp”.  It has been a pleasure working  with the membership over the years.
